Iris Van Herpen is known for creating stunning, conceptual garments that create a synergy between natural inspiration and technical innovation. While her designs are critically acclaimed and hold a strong multi-platform and cross-industry presence, the price point and design of her garments are not accessible to all but a few consumers across the world.
With this in mind, this project proposes an accessory line called “Øbjekt”. This line fuses the technology-driven, avante-garde aesthetic of her current line with a more consumer driven product. The wearable objects proposed mirror Iris Van Herpen’s inspiration in aesthetic, creation, and technique. All collections have been created in reference to Iris Van Herpen’s previous concepts and collections in Iris Van Herpen’s couture and ready-to-wear presentations.
This accessory line makes Iris Van Herpen’s designs more accessible - bridging the current gap between consumers who identify as fans and the designer’s high-concept creations.
This project includes a promotion campaign video and an Integrated Marketing Communication plan (IMC) for the implementation of this brand extension.

Two worlds, light and dark, influenced by the age of technology, material, and the importance of our symbiotic relationships with nature and space.
In the ethereal, light world, a young man spots a futuristic being. He approaches and the two share a moment of interaction with the strange spherical object when he is suddenly transported to a dark new world.
Within both worlds live jewelry, accessories and objects representative of our proposed brand extension of luxury jewelry and accessories for Iris Van Herpen.
Fashion film was created for FASH 763 Fashion Promotion taught by Alessandro Cannata with guest lecturer Oscar Betancur at Savannah College of Art and Design: Fall 2016.
